T&V Holly Limoges Cream Soup
This is a very beautiful cream soup and saucer in the Holly Berry Christmas pattern by Tressemann & Vogt.
Marked T&V France, Depose and dates between 1892-1907, about 1900.
The cup measures about 2-3/4" tall and 5-1/4" across at the handles. The saucer is about 5-1/2" across and 1" tall which allows plenty of room should a guest "spill" a little!
No Chips, cracks, scratches or other damage. Extremely minimal wear to the gold... about as perfect as one can get for a piece of china that's about 100 years old.
This is one of the finest and most elaborately decorated patterns made by this premier French Limoges porcelain company.
The pattern is a band of hand painted green holly leaves and red berries with green background on pure white china and ornate gold trim creating an elegant and rich design.
This is the only T&V cream soup that we've found in this pattern, and the second cream soup that we've ever seen produced by T&V!
A "must have" for a formal Christmas dinner.
